Delete your WaxRoom account
You can delete your WaxRoom account in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app. Either way, this page says what is deleted and what may be kept.
Delete it in the app
- Open WaxRoom and sign in.
- Tap Account in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation, then tap Delete account again.
When the deletion is done, the app says so and signs you out. If something goes wrong, the app tells you and you stay signed in, so you can try again.
Delete it without the app
Email [email protected] with the subject Delete my WaxRoom account. Send it from the email address on your account, so we know the request comes from you. We may reply to that address to confirm before we delete anything, and we will tell you when it is done.
Before you delete
- Credit, unopened packs and cards: if you have WaxRoom credit, paid packs you have not opened, or cards you have not shipped, contact support before you delete, so we can resolve them with you (for example with a refund or a delivery) instead of losing them. You can also refund unopened packs yourself while the app shows them as refundable.
- Cards on their way to you: contact support before you delete, so we can sort out the shipment with you.
- CardGrader.AI subscription: deleting the account cancels a subscription bought on cardgrader.ai. A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is managed by that store, so cancel it there.
You never have to buy or open a pack to delete your account. Deleting cannot be undone.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in details: your email address, name and profile details, and the link to your Apple or Google sign-in.
- Your credit balance.
- Your WaxRoom data: shipping addresses, sealed packs, your vault, gifts and invites, the phones registered for alerts, and any waitlist sign-up.
- Your CardGrader.AI data, such as your card collection.
Each of these is deleted or permanently anonymized, so it can no longer be tied to you, except for the records described next.
What may be kept, and why
Some records may be kept where the law requires (for example payment records), and where we need them to prevent fraud or to settle a dispute about a purchase or a shipment. Copies in our routine backups are removed as those backups expire. The privacy policy lists what is kept and for how long.
CardGrader.AI's own deletion options
Because the account is shared, you can also delete it from CardGrader.AI: its app has its own Delete Account button, and the CardGrader.AI privacy policy (section 6, User Rights) explains how to ask by email. The result is the same: one shared account, deleted once.
